The following are the Terms & Conditions of the Free Assessment Offer:
-
People’s Plumbing & Mechanical, Inc. (“PPM”) reserves the right to modify or cancel the program at any time.
-
The scope of the grease trap assessment may include checking the condition of manhole covers, ensuring manhole covers are in good condition, opening manhole covers to inspect the trap's inlet and outlet, assessing the proper functioning of the inlet and outlet, measuring the level of liquid waste from the bottom of the tank to the surface, and evaluate the thickness of the grease layer on top (the “Assessment”).
-
This scope of the water heater assessment conducted by PPM may include a thorough visual inspection of the water heater unit, including connected piping, to identify any visible signs of wear, damage, or leaks, and verify the proper installation and operation of the venting system, ensuring it is free from obstructions. Gas and water connections will be inspected for potential signs of leakage. We will ensure that the water heater is receiving power and that the control panel is functioning correctly. If necessary, the unit will be tested and reset, and the display's status indicators will be verified for accuracy. The assessment will include a review of any error codes displayed on the control panel, which can indicate specific system issues, such as ignition failures, sensor malfunctions, or flow problems, and PPM will follow Rinnai’s troubleshooting guide to narrow down any identified issues. We will test the incoming water pressure to ensure it meets the required levels for optimal water heater performance, check for blockages in the water filter or inlet screen, and verify that the hot water flow rate complies with the unit's specifications. Gas pressure at the unit will be measured to confirm it is within the recommended range, and the ignition system will be inspected for proper burner lighting while flame behavior is monitored to ensure stability during operation. If scaling is suspected due to hard water, PPM will perform a descaling procedure using a descaling solution to remove mineral buildup, and routine maintenance, such as system flushing, will also be evaluated. A combustion analysis will be performed to confirm the gas-to-air ratio is within acceptable limits, ensuring efficient combustion and proper operation. The water heater unit will then be run through various demand scenarios to monitor performance, ensuring the water temperature output is stable and that the unit cycles properly according to demand. The purpose of this diagnostic is to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance to restore the water heater to proper working condition, with all findings and recommendations communicated to the customer, and any necessary repairs subject to approval and additional charges.
-
PPM will not conduct inspections in hotel rooms to check individual plumbing systems.
